As easy as it is to grow, it should come as no surprise that the Spirea is a popular flowering shrub for hedges and foundation plantings. What may be surprising is the vast array of color and size options that are available for the landscape.

Depending on the variety you select, Spirea may grow anywhere from 2 to 10 feet tall and beyond in zones 3 – 9. Spirea is tolerant of full or partial sun and is known for attracting butterflies.
