Calycanthus: (Sweet Shrub) Siren Red Color Shines in the Landscape

    Bright red is a stand out color in any landscape and Calycanthus delivers all summer long. The large, bright red blooms of Calycanthus ‘Aphrodite’ resemble that of Magnolias and fill the air with its sweet fragrance. Calycanthus reblooms throughout summer on beautiful glossy  green foliage and is deer resistant. Plant in full sun to part shade.

    Calycanthus forms an upright habit that reaches 6-7 feet in height and 5-6 feet in width, is hardy to zones 5-9, and requires moderate to moist soil. Enjoy the “pop” of bright red in the border or landscape and trim Calycanthus after the flowering season is past in late summer or early fall.
