Chamaecyparis: Distinctive Texture & Winter Interest (False Cypress)
Chamaecyparis offers compact evergreens with soft to the touch foliage in shades of blue and green. Chamaecyparis requires full sun to part shade and has a conical upright habit that needs no pruning.
Since False Cypress range in size from 4’ to 10’ in height they may be used in containers, borders, screens, or as landscape specimens. Slow growing Chamaecyparis should be protected from harsh winter sun and winds. Chamaecyparis are also Deer resistant.
