(Butterfly Bush) Another wonderful addition to the Lo & Behold® series of butterfly bushes. ‘Purple Haze’ is a dwarf butterfly bush reaching 2-3’ tall with a spread of 3-4’ and great alternative to ground cover. 'Purple Haze’ will add a burst of color in the landscape and forms a low, spreading habit. Drought and heat tolerant, ‘Purple Haze’ loves full sun and produces continuous fragrant blooms from midsummer through fall. The purple-blue flowers of Buddleia Lo & Behold® ‘Purple Haze’ whirl outward and downward creating aromatic magnets for butterflies and hummingbirds. This remarkable shrub is continuous blooming and does not need pruning or deadheading. It is frost tolerant, non-invasive and very easy to grow. It is also drought resistant and deer resistant. Lo & Behold® ‘Purple Haze’ can be used in a perennial or shrub border, in masses or groupings, as a low hedge or in containers. Perfect for smaller gardens. ‘Purple Haze’ dies back to the ground in the northern states (roots are hardy). In the South, cut back to 12” if desired. Fertilize in early spring by applying a slow release fertilizer specialized for trees & shrubs.
