Forsythia: A Fantastic Show of Cheery Spring Color

Forsythia shows off in the spring landscape with a profusion of large, golden yellow flowers that bloom from the ground up. The base to tip stems of yellow display a great show of color when cut for floral arrangements.  Forsythia develops a beautiful deep green foliage that is a great addition to mixed plantings or may be used as a specimen shrub. Forsythia is deer resistant. 

Forsythia offers a 5-6 feet upright habit as well as a 1-3 foot upright mounding dwarf variety. The fuller and more compact habits perform better than older varieties and need little pruning, but may be trimmed after the flowering season has ended. Plant in full sun.
