(Arborvitae) A native, easy to grow Arborvitae, Thuja North Pole™ is more narrow than ‘Smaragd’ reaching 10-15’ tall but only 2-3’ wide. This columnar shape will provide excellent specimen height and is great for creating hedges or privacy screens. Thuja North Pole™ has beautiful dark green foliage, is resistant to winter burn, and is a very hardy shrub. North Pole™ may be planted in full sun to part shade and normally needs no pruning but if necessary may be pruned in late fall. A controlled release fertilizer may be applied in the spring.
