(Juniper) Electric Color in an Evergreen
Juniperus lights up the landscape with shades of chartreuse in spring, yellow in summer and orange in the fall. This evergreen has surprisingly soft foliage, is easy to grow and is drought tolerant. Juniper requires no pruning but may be shaped in early spring if so desired.
Hardy in zones 4-9 and deer resistant Juniper is heat tolerant so plant in full sun. With a horizontal spreading habit of 1’ tall and 7-9 feet wide Juniperus is well suited as a groundcover for rock gardens and sunny slopes.
