p>(Blue Holly) Castle Spire™ and Castle Wall™ are good in average moisture soils, but are first-class picks for planting in saturated areas, being that they are native to swampy and boggy areas. They both have dark green glossy leaves, beautiful branching, fast vigorous growth, and a compact-pyramidal form. They are an excellent replacement for yews, Castle Wall™ has the same habit as a 'Hicks' yew and Castle Spire™ has the same habit as 'Capitata' yew. Their narrow form makes them great for borders, screens, hedges, foundation plantings, or even as a dramatic specimen. The lustrous green evergreen foliage provides season long interest. Castle Spire™ will produce bright red berries for fall and winter enjoyment; use Castle Wall™ as the male pollinator. Only one Castle Wall™ planted within 20 foot, is needed to pollinate several Castle Spire's™. Evergreen. Patent Strings: Castle Spire® Ilex x meserveae 'Hachfee' PP: 14310 Can. Can.: 2314
