(Oakleaf Hydrangea) Gatsby’s Star™ Hydrangea steals the show! Large white conical flowers include double florets that are similar to those of ‘Snowflake’ but with individual petals that are star-shaped instead of rounded. The dark green foliage of Gatsby’s Star™ forms a nicely mounded habit of 5-6 feet tall and turns a nice shade of burgundy red in the fall for extended interest in the landscape. Plant Gatsby’s Star™ Hydrangea in full sun to part shade in a moist well-drained location. Gatsby’s Star™ may require some winter protection in northern climates and blooms on old growth so trim after the flowering season. Fertilize in early spring with a slow release fertilizer for shrubs and trees. Follow the label for recommended rate of application.
