Hibiscus) Hibiscus Candide™ is not your typical Rose of Sharon; actually it is not a Rose of Sharon at all. Candide™ is a new color in the hybrid Hibiscus family. The large, lavender, tropical blooms are bigger than those of the Rose of Sharon. Candide™ is a vigorous grower, with foliage that is larger than that of the Hibiscus syriacus family. This is a strong growing plant, reaching up to 8' tall it can be shaped into a small tree or a large shrub. Hardy down to zone 5, Candide™ can bring a look of the tropics to the north, enjoying its colors from mid to late summer. Candide™ blooms on new wood so we suggest that you trim in late fall or early spring. A great heat tolerant shrub that attracts butterflies. Deer Resistant.
