(Hebe) A delightful shrub for your landscape, ‘Frozen Flame’ forms a nice size habit of 24-32 inches tall and 36-40 inches wide and presents great color displays. The grey and white leaves of ‘Frozen Flame’ produce purple tips in the winter and spring becoming even more intense with the cooler temperatures and bright sunshine. In May and June large blue flowers appear on the variegated foliage. ‘Frozen Flame’ Hebe is an evergreen best suited to milder climates (zones 8-10) but planted in a sheltered location makes a great “annual” option for those colder climates. In mild climates plant ‘Frozen Flame’ in containers, use as edgings and low borders, or place individually for spot color throughout the garden. ‘Frozen Flame’ Hebe requires full sun, prefers well drained soil, and may be trimmed to shape after the flowering season. A deer resistant shrub selection. Introduction Year: 2013 Patent Strings: ‘Frozen Flame’ Hebe PP20,376
