(New Jersey Tea or California Lilac) Glossy foliage with purple stems provides the backdrop for the rosy pink flower heads of Marie Rose™. This hardy ceanothus forms a nicely mounded habit of 2-4 feet tall and 3 feet wide. Marie Rose™ blooms in mid-summer and reblooms again in early fall with red seed capsules developing when flowering is finished extending the season of interest. A light shear after the first bloom will promote a stronger rebloom. A butterfly magnet, Marie Rose™ is well suited for perennial beds and mixed borders. Marie Rose™ is a drought tolerant shrub and thrives in poor soil conditions. Prune to shape after flowering. Introduction Year: 2013 Patent Strings: Marie Rose™ Ceanothus x ‘Minmarose’
