Plant Description

(Butterfly Bush) English Butterfly™ Peacock™ has large, rich pink distinct blooms in which the flowers radiate outward from the plant almost like rockets.  The flower heads are fragrant and also the largest of three in the English Butterfly™ series easily reaching 12 to 14 inches in length.  Peacock™  is a neat compact plant so even gardeners with limited space can attract butterflies and hummingbirds.  Perfect for cut flowers, perennial or shrub borders, in masses or groupings.  Will bloom best if cut back heavily in the spring. The English Butterfly™ series are colorful Buddleia varieties that won't crowd their neighbors! These cultivars were developed in England, and are just now making their way across the Atlantic. Roughly a third the size of other butterfly bush varieties, these plants are extra bushy and loaded with colorful flowers. They're fragrant, and attract butterflies and hummingbirds. Unlike older varieties, these cultivars will not overwhelm the landscape, and never develop the weedy, unkept habit so typical of Butterfly Bush. You'll love the way they look in containers and in gardens. Treat them like a perennial in the north; dies back to the ground (roots are hardy). Patent Strings: English Butterfly™ Peacock™ Buddleia davidii 'Peakeep' Can. Can.: 2637
