(Ninebark) Colorful Foliage Brings Color All Summer and Into Fall

Physocarpus is a native shrub that offers rich color all the way through into fall. Coppertina™ displays orange-copper to red foliage with a height and spread of 6-8 feet. Summer Wine® produces purple-red foliage with a 5-6 foot height and spread and is often used in cut floral arrangements.

Physocarpus has pink-white blooms that appear in early summer and require little pruning but may be trimmed to shape after the flowering season. The upright habits of Ninebark are drought tolerant, require full sun and need good air circulation. Suitable for commercial landscapes, specimens, borders or in mass plantings and will attract birds.
