Itea explodes in summer with fragrant, white bottle brush blooms that cover the shrub and fill the air with its sweet scent. Fall delivers a second round of excitement with magnificent red-orange foliage for the landscape.

A native and deer resistant shrub, Itea may be planted in sun or shade and requires little maintenance but may be pruned to shape in late fall or early spring. Itea forms a compact, low-mounded habit that is 2-3 feet in height and spread and is adaptable to moist soil. Itea is suited for beds and mixed borders, along the bank, or in containers.
