Syringa - Bloomerang® Purple Lilac

While traditional Lilac varieties bloom for a few short weeks in spring, Bloomerang® not only blooms in the spring - it boomerangs with new flowers from mid-summer right up until frost. Bloomerang® is remarkable Lilac with fragrant lavender-purple flowers. It's compact, full growth habit and small leaves make it the perfect shrub for the garden. It’s ideal as a foundation plant or as part of the mixed border. You can even include it into perennial beds. This variety has good powdery mildew resistance foliage, and is also resistant to root rot that can be problematic for Lilacs. Prune to shape after spring blooms. Flower production may decline during extremely hot summers but will resume when temperatures cool in fall. Remove spent bloom stems to encourage re-blooming.
