An abundance of petite, radiant yellow blooms shine brightly from July thru September on this tightly branched shrub. Native to North America Hypericum forms a 2-3 foot tall and wide mounded habit of dark green foliage with willow-like leaves. St Johns Wart is a drought tolerant and deer resistant shrub that will add season long color to the garden.
Hardy to zones 4-8 Hypericum requires full sun and northern gardeners should mulch the roots in the winter for protection. Prune to shape in late fall or early spring. Hypericum displays well as a specimen shrub, en masse, along perennial and shrub borders, and in containers.
