(Hebe) Appealing, ‘Magic Summer’ Hebe forms a compact habit of 18-24 inches tall and 24-32 inches wide and presents great color displays for your landscape. The grey and white leaves of ‘Magic Summer’ produce a deep plum color in winter and early spring becoming more intense with the cooler temperatures and bright sunshine. Large purple/blue flowers appear on the variegated foliage in early summer. ‘Magic Summer’ Hebe is an evergreen best suited to milder climates (zones 8-10) but planted in a sheltered location makes a great “annual” option for those colder climates. In milder climates plant ‘Magic Summer’ in containers, use as edgings and low borders, or place individually for spot color throughout the garden. ‘Magic Summer’ Hebe requires full sun, prefers well drained soil, and may be trimmed to shape after the flowering season. A deer resistant shrub selection.
