Exochorda produces a flurry of activity in the spring with an abundance of large snowy white flowers that blanket this shrub. The beautiful green foliage of Exochoda form neater, fuller, upright mounded habits than older varieties. Since flowers are produced on the previous seasons growth prune Pearl-Bush to shape after the flowering season has ended.
Exochorda may be planted in sun to part shade, is hardy and heat tolerant but prefers well drained acidic soil. A nice landscape specimen, Exochorda also fits into the perennial border and may be trained to form a small tree.
