Reblooming Azaleas provide up to twenty weeks of bloom time per year! Azalea Bloom-A-Thon™ blooms in the spring along with other azaleas, then reblooms in mid-summer and continues to bloom until frost. Once established Azalea Bloom-A-Thon™ needs little pruning, but may be trimmed to shape just after the spring bloom since the flowers appear on old wood (last season's growth).
Azalea Bloom-A-Thon™ forms a mounded habit of green foliage ranging from 2’ up to 6’ tall. Azalea Bloom-A-Thon™ has a medium growth rate and prefers to be planted in dappled shade, with moist well drained soil. In early spring, apply a controlled released fertilizer made for rhododendrons & azaleas. Azalea is a semi-evergreen shrub in the southern states, but may require some winter protection in northern climates. Long blooming Azaleas are perfect for landscapes, specimen plantings and are also deer resistant.
