Weigela - Midnight Wine®

(Weigela) Midnight Wine® is a marvelous low mounding, dwarf version of Wine & Roses® Weigela. Like Wine & Roses® it has dark burgundy-purple foliage and pink flowers. Its maintenance free and needs no pruning, because its habit is perfect the way it is. Consider using it instead of 'Crimson Pygmy' barberry, Midnight Wine® doesn't have any thorns! Use in shrub borders, groupings, masses, or in containers. It is ideal for the front of the border or for edging the perennial bed. The uses are endless and the color is nonstop!
