Viburnum - Cardinal Candy™ Linden

(Viburnum) Discovered in a batch of seed grown plants, after which a -30 degree cold spell killed off all except one, Cardinal Candy™. Now northern gardeners can finally enjoy the impressive fruit sets produce on Viburnum. Cardinal Candy™ has tons of creamy white flowers,  which cover this well-branched, rounded plant in May. The fruit on this plant is remarkable and abundant. The show of the bright red fruit appears in late summer and is still clinging to the shrub thru winter into spring. Fruiting appears strong even without another pollinator in the area. Cardinal Candy™ Viburnum may be easily maintained to a smaller size shrub with pruning. Use in shrub borders, foundation plantings, as screens/hedges, in woodland gardens, and winter gardens.
