Ilex - Berry Heavy® Winterberry Holly

(Holly) Brighten up the winter landscape with Berry Heavy®! Produces copious amounts of bright orange-red berries to be enjoyed in the fall through winter. It will often lose it leaves earlier than other cultivars making for a spectacular fruit display in autumn. Berry Heavy® has been evaluated for years and came to conclude that it rivals all other Winterberry selections for its sheer mass of fruit. The bright orange-red fruit can be cut for making great holiday floral arrangements. First-class pick for planting in saturated areas as its native to swampy and boggy areas. Use as a winter specimen or in groupings and masses, shrub borders, screens, and hedges. No pruning necessary unless removing dead/broken branches. Requires a male plant to create berries such as ‘Jim Dandy’ Winterberry.
