Chamaecyparis - Soft Serve™ False Cypress

(False Cypress) Soft Serve™ is extremely adaptable and is a great substitute for 'Dwarf Alberta' spruce.  This compact evergreen has graceful, soft to the touch, fern-like branching.  The leaves are bright green on top and speckled with silver-blue on the underside.  Soft Serve™ does not require any pruning, but to keep it smaller pruning can be done in the spring.  Makes an outstanding specimen reaching 6-10' tall and is also a wonderful choice for shrub borders, hedges, and screens.  Soft Serve™ Cypress is a slow growing evergreen, and should be protected from harsh winter sun and winds. Deer resistant.
