It stands only 2-3’ tall and forms a tidy mound. ‘Lilac Chip’ Butterfly Bush has all the appeal of the larger varieties only in a smaller package! Attract butterflies and hummingbirds to your garden. This remarkable plant is continuous blooming and does not need pruning or deadheading. It is frost tolerant, non-invasive and very easy to grow. It is also drought resistant and deer resistant. This remarkable plant can be used in a perennial or shrub border, in masses or groupings, as a low hedge or in containers. Perfect for smaller gardens. Dies back to the ground in the northern states (roots are hardy). In the South, cut back to 12” if desired. Fertilize in early spring by applying a slow release fertilizer specialized for trees & shrubs. Follow the label for recommended rate of application.
